Where do the materials used in the eco-chic jewelry come from?
All the materials used to produce the jewelry are grown in Ecuador. Each piece is handmade by artisans living in Ecuador. Most materials come from the areas were the artisans live.
Will the jewelry I purchased appear exactly as it is shown on your website?
The jewelry will be very close in appearance with the picture on the website. However, because natural materials are used, a small difference may exist.
How should I take care of the jewelry?
All the jewelry are made from natural materials. If you would like to give the jewelry an extra shine, you could gently rub the jewelry in with natural oil. Rub your hands in with a small amount of natural oil and massage the seeds.
Be careful with water, extreme sunlight, perfumes or other chemicals. Do never try or eat the seeds. Some of the seeds, such as the Anamora contain toxic ingredients. Please keep the jewelry out of reach of your pets and children. The jewelry will be delivered with instructions.
Do you support specific projects?
Currently we only support the artisans of the jewelry directly. We help them with buying materials and the equipment necessary to make the jewelry. We have invested in setting up jewelry classes before we started the online store to give everyone a chance to participate in the project. We hope to organize similar projects in different communities.
Can I return my order?
Yes, you are able to return the order. However if you have placed the order by one of our distributers they may have different return policies. Orders can be returned within seven (7) days after you received it. You will find more information about our return policy in our General Terms.
What is the estimated delivery time?
We ship all our orders from the beautiful island of Aruba. The estimated delivery time for countries were Aruba has direct connections with, such as the United States and The Netherlands, is about 10 working days. Shipping to other countries may take longer. On special requests we are able to use other shipping methods that are able to deliver faster. In this case, the shipping costs are more expensive and for your account.
I have fruit and nut allergy, can I wear the jewelry?
You know your body and allergy better than we do. If you have an allergy we won’t recommend you to wear the jewelry.
If I am traveling to developing countries, the handwork is very cheap. Why are your products more expensive?
We do more than just selling the products. We pay the families a fair price for their work, which is above local market prices. We also invest in the communities where the artisans live, such as organizing classes, investing in materials needed to create the handwork and other forms of help. Most of our products are made in indigenous communities in the Amazon jungle. As you may know shipping is not easy and very expensive from the parts were they live.
Where can I find personal information about the artisans?
As we respect your privacy, we also respect the privacy of our artisans. Personal information about the artisans will be shared with our customers. Every piece of jewelry has its own hangtag with information about the artisan.
